Srlsy Vegan Recipe Submissions & FAQ’s

A Community Cookbook, But Make It Vegan

We want Srsly Vegan to feel a bit like the kind of community cookbook you’d find in your grandmother’s drawer — the well-loved one full of handwritten notes, borrowed casseroles, scribbled corrections, and the best recipes from every type of cook who ever wandered through the kitchen.

This project is our modern version of that except totally plant-powered. We publish recipes from chefs, seasoned developers, food bloggers, and home cooks who simply make something so good it deserves a wider audience. If you cook vegan food, we want to read about it and eat it.

How submissions work

Submissions are open to anyone. You bring the recipe, the story behind it, and the flavors you love. We handle the testing, editing, and publication.

SUBMIT YOUR RECIPE

You submit your tested original recipe with or without photos and a written article via the submission form below. If accepted, it will move into our testing lineup.

WE TEST & EDIT

Our editorial team tests accepted submissions for clarity, timing, and flavor. Then we refine the writing for flow, context, and SEO while keeping your voice intact.

YOU REVIEW & APPROVE

Before anything goes live, you’ll receive a review link to look over edits, request adjustments, or add final notes. Collaborative, respectful, and always centered on your work.

We’re interested in recipes that feel lived-in:

  • The weeknight staple you’ve made a hundred times
  • The holiday dish your family claims they invented
  • The “accidental masterpiece” that came from using whatever was in the pantry
  • The veganized version of cultural staples

RECIPE GUIDELINES:

  • Fully vegan (no animal products including eggs, dairy, and honey)
  • Tested by you at least once
  • Written clearly (we can help tighten format, but please write out all ingredients, servings, and steps clearly)
  • Your original work or a deeply personal adaptation

If your dish draws from a specific cuisine or cultural tradition, we welcome — and encourage — context. It honors the origin and helps readers understand how you relate to it.
